Reconciliation

"Receive the Holy Spirit.  Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained."  (John 20:22-23)  Jesus' words to the apostles after His resurrection began the sacrament of Reconciliation through which sins are forgiven.  By their nature, all sacraments are community celebrations. We celebrate the forgiveness of God during Communal Reconciliation, just as surely as we celebrate the forgiveness of God with the gathering and celebrating community during the Sunday Mass.

Communal Reconciliation is scheduled during Advent and Lent. Private confessions are heard on Saturdays from 3:30 - 4 p.m. and anytime by appointment. Please check the bulletin for other times. Spiritual direction and referral counseling are by appointment. For arrangements, please contact the parish office at 319-377-4869.
