Women's Connection
Women's Connection is a ministry of the St. Joseph's faith community whose primary goal is to provide support for widows.
Any widow in the parish can become a member, regardless the amount of time widowed. The group meets from 1-3 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. Please check the bulletin or this web site for information about upcoming Women's Connection activities.
The purpose of the meetings is to offer support for one another by listening, sharing, praying and planning future events. Examples of other ways the women support each other include:
1. Accompanying each other to doctor's appointments.
2. Attend memorial Masses for deceased spouses.
3. Offering assistance to help solve home and maintenance difficulties.
4. Attending various events together.
5. Gathering for breakfast after Mass on Sundays.
6. Sending cards of encouragement on special days, such as the anniversary of a spouse's death.
Since its beginning in 2004, Women's Connection has been actively involved in a variety of activities and events designed to enhance the personal, social and spiritual lives of its members through works of charity and service to the Church. Through planning and participation, these activities have helped members strengthen their faith lives and develop new and meaningful friendships.
For more information, please contact Mary Hauschildt, Pastoral Minister or Ellen Babich (parishioner).
