The Ministry of Mother's Sharing (MOMS) began at St. Joseph Parish in 1996 under the team leadership of Mary Waterhouse and Mary Hauschildt. At that time six other parishioners were invited to help develop the program. They were: Becky Gassmann, JoLeah Hurst, Nancy Landis, Jodee Lohr, Lona Sedlacek, and Renee Wiebel. Since it's beginning over 250 women from our parish have gone through the 8 week program.
MOMS, a ministry of the Benedictine Sisters of St. Paul;s Monastery in St. Paul, Minnesota, was co-created by Sr. Paula Hagen, Vickie Jennett, and Patricia Hoyt. The objective of the program was to gather mothers, of all ages, together to form a network of mutual support along with the opportunity to provide a group experience of praying and ministering to each other.
